Hi everyone,

A few weeks ago I posted about the website I was working with, Jobs in Property, which had (and still has) literally hundreds of jobs available at the moment.

Well, I'm no longer freelance -- I'm the Managing Director, and I want to hire someone! So I'm offering it to my brothers and sisters-in-expatdom first, because I know, firsthand, just what it's like to try and get a job without UK experience first. I also know that not having UK experience isn't necessarily a bar to excellent performance, so I'd like to extend the chance to give someone some UK experience for their CV. So, a little about the role...

Who we are:
Jobs in Property.com is the premier UK site for jobs within the built environment. We cater to Facilities Management (by far our largest sector), Construction, Engineering, Admin & Support, and other sector fields. Our clients include both recruitment agents and firms doing direct hiring. We aim to bring the most quality candidates directly to our clients, so they spend less time sifting through applications that aren't relevant. We have an audience of over 30,000, plus partnerships with major trade journals (FMJ, HABM, LABM, Design & Build UK...), so we can put their job ad in front of a very targeted audience. We're not Indeed, but neither do our clients have to sift through irrelevant applications.

What I'm Looking For:
I'm hiring a sales person, commission only to start (pretty decent earning potential though as I'm splitting my own salary to afford this) to generate new leads and close sales. The sales person will be self-employed so I don't expect you to work from the office (I've actually moved OUT of the office since the people I share it with have gone on a hiring spree, but we do have an office!) or on a set schedule. It's pretty much a straightforward you sell, you get a percentage of that sale. We have an established and successful sales process, exceptional pre- and post-sales support, and a great site in a perfect market niche that I'm very proud of. I'd prefer the person to be London-based as our office IS in London and I'd like to make the person full-time, salaried as soon as I can -- I want someone who can stick with me.

So, Know someone good at talking to people who can bring in business? Send them my way -- email a CV to hello@jobsinproperty.com

Thanks, expatians!  ;D

It's not a bar to excellent performance at all.
I just hope that more people will ignore the fatalism of the argument that we are beyond repair. We are not beyond repair. We are never beyond repair. - AOC

I know that, but plenty of employers seem -- and yes, I said seem because I'm working anecdotally here -- to feel otherwise.

Listen you post a job trying to help out a fellow expat, and some over-sensitive guy pounces on one word.....
