We're here on my husbands visa (mine officially says tier 2 ict long term staff partner), and my visa says that I'm able to work. As our youngest has turned two, I'm now eager to get back into work, and have heard there may be some available openings locally in my field (architecture). I'm working on confirming my NIN (I worked in the UK for a summer during uni and am assuming I just need to verify it's the same number and it can work for my married name). What else can I do to make sure it's easy for any potential employer and not scare them off with the fact that I'm here on a visa? Are there any forms I can fill out ahead of time?

Thanks in advance for any assistance. Next up is updating my CV - the last time I did that was back in the states for my first job out of uni, which I stayed at until we moved here!

You are allowed to work for any employer on that visa.  Nothing you need to do.  You can't make it any easier than that.

Best of luck in your search.  I would register with a recruiter or two if you haven't already.
