DH and I will walk down to where our town puts on a fireworks display. If it's anything like the ones they had this summer, it'll be spectacular. He says he's never had a traditional meal for Bonfire day, so we may just do bangers and mash.  His son doesn't want to join us, he's at the age where it's just not cool to see fireworks. I'm glad I never reached that age. :)

My DH and his boys (all grown) don't seem to make a big thing about bonfire night at all....but if the weather is conducive, I might talk him into the local fireworks display on Saturday night. Tonite, on official bonfire night, I'll be monitoring the sales of fireworks at my local shop (making sure everyone is over 18).....oh goody! lol

(and making sure they aren't shooting them off near the store....my poor cats are already wired!)

My partner and I just move to the south side of Coventry (Finham), so we are hoping to use their bonfire night spectacular as a way to meet some people from the area.  There's no pub in Finham (ohmygawd), so I have no idea how else to meet people??

I'll be going to my first display (David never had the time off before!) tomorrow...barring any disasters.  ;)  I'm looking forward to it, especially since my lil bro will be coming along!  :D

yay... I'm so excited now. Just got home from work and I can hear all the booms and bangs of people doing their own fireworks.

We're meeting all our friends at the pub and then we're going to walk to the bonfire and fireworks. They've got a good 20 minute display going tonight.

Whee... I'm like a little kid. I love fireworks. I get all bouncy.

Hope everyone else has a great night!

I loathe fireworks.  Feels like I'm living in Fallujah.   >:D
Love your life, poor as it is. You may perhaps have some pleasant, thrilling, glorious hours, even in a poorhouse. The setting sun is reflected from the windows of the almshouse as brightly as from the rich man’s abode; the snow melts before its doors as early in the spring. Cultivate property like a garden herb, like sage. Do not trouble yourself much to get new things, whether clothes or friends. Turn the old; return to them. Things do not change; we change. Sell your clothes and keep your thoughts…
