Hello from Sheffield

Hi everyone!
I have been living in the UK for two years but new to this forum. I moved here from Cali to get married and I still miss the constant sunshine and good Mexican food!  I wanted to see if there were any expats in the Sheffield area to connect with. It has been two years and I have enjoyed the adventure but still struggle to feel completely adjusted to the UK. Just wanted to see if anyone else felt this way! Looking forward to being part of the forum

hi Jess, welcome to the forum. There are a few on here from Sheffield, I'm the Brit in this relationship, my wife is from New Jersey and we live in Barnsley so not too far from Sheffield.

I think we're about a half hour away but my fiancee is from Sheffield. I'm missing Mexican food already and have only been in Derbyshire for a month. Of course, I could live quite happily within a Mexican restaurant.

I used to live in Sheffield, but now I'm up in York! I too am from the golden state... originally! Have you tried Cubanas? It was where I met my (now) husband and I remember the food fondly...
