Bakery/Pastry Shop ??
« on: June 03, 2002, 02:10:39 PM »
Ok, who here can tell me where I can find a decent bakery shop? Or pastry shop don't know what they really call it here.  I have looked in Upmystreet.com and nothing came up.  What I'm looking for is actually an Italian bake shop.  I'm having a dinner party soon and would like to serve the mini Italian pastries, cannolis, etc. (Big Apple you know what I'm talking about right?)  I know I can probably buy some at Carluccio's at Canary Wharf but I'd rather buy at a bakery.

My time-out shopping guide had only one italian bakery listed-Amato Caffe/Pasticceria 14 Old Compton St.  W1
020 7734 5733 Piccadilly Circus tube.  I'd phone first as my guide is a couple of years old.
