From AZ to Coventry
« on: October 21, 2014, 05:44:04 PM »
I just thought I'd introduce myself here even though I've posted a few times in the Visa & Citizenship threads already. My UKC boyfriend just proposed last week and we have a date set with the courthouse already for December 5! We have done *everything* in our relationship backwards as we met 20 years ago, dated briefly, then reconnected 6 years ago, but due to circumstances then, didn't manage to work things out (long story featuring crazy ex, custody battle, etc.), even though we are parents to beautiful (if I do say so myself!) 5 year old twin boys (luckily they already are dual citizens)! Anyway, his divorce should finally be final on November 7 and as soon as we get the certified copy of our marriage license back, I'll be applying for my marriage visa. I'll be moving with our sons to live with him and his son in Coventry for the next several years, at least. Hopefully, I can find a decent job at U of Warwick, Coventry U or possibly Birmingham (I've worked at ASU for the past 8 years).

Anyway, wanted to say hello and thank you for the helpful advice I've already been given!  ;D
