Nursing school in UK for American with BA?
« on: December 26, 2014, 02:06:07 AM »
Hi!

I'm an American with my bachelors degree, currently preparing to apply for nursing school in the US in May. My boyfriend is English and should we decide to settle in the UK, what would be my school options?
Would I be able to get certification equivalent to a BSN in England as an American and would it transfer to the US later (our plan is to settle in the US later)?
Would the best idea be to ultimately stay in the country in which I obtain my education?
I ultimately want to be a midwife - does anyone know of any apprentice situations in the UK that don't require a nursing degree?

Thank you!!!

This is one if those specialisations will it will be difficult to move between countries without having to retrain/qualify all over again.  You will essentially have to restart each time you move and be an entry level employee.

Here's how to become a midwife in the UK.
