You need to go! They have American sized portions, definitely!  Haha! I'm such a fat kid...

But sometimes thwy try to fool you, because them Brits runnin' that dining establishment just don't know their ass from their elbow at times (*in my best southern drawl*).... so you'll order a cream soda, and it will come from a generic can with an American flag on it and will be sugar free!!! I'm a nightmare when I go with my in laws, lol.

I'm eating at chick-fil-a at least once a week until I leave! 34 days to go!

Trying to figure out how much "food" I can stash in my suitcases...

Well, Birmingham seems like a good place to start.... though the American diner I've referenced is about 30 miles east of Brum!  Birmingham New Street and the Bullring are always good fun :-)  I have half term free coming up, so maybe a mid-week thing if people are not working??? Or we could do the weekend???

Anyone opposed to a FB group for Americans in Brum??  Because that might be easier than trying to follow and arrange everyone on here??

It's such a breath of fresh air to hear everyone talking on here and saying what I have been thinking that my husband doesn't understand at ALL bc he's English. Dill pickles....mmm....velveeta mac and cheese....mmmm...I honestly didn't think that I was going to miss much about home bc I don't get homesick much and know I can go visit sometime soon. I am available for a get-together any time this month or next month. I am Birmingham City Centre near the CUBE. Let me know if anyone wants to meet up. I've been speaking with kkidd and she is trying to set something up for all of us to meet.
