So I'm thinking about doing roller derby, but I need to have all the right equipment before trying out.
I'm trying to price stuff now, but can anyone tell me what brands they like using for elbow/knee/wrist guards, and best value for money? I'm probably just going to get a sweet Nutcase helmet and Rio Roller Riot Skates. I don't want to buy top of the line just yet, but I also don't want to injure myself due to being a massive cheapskate (ha!)
Also, is anyone part of a roller derby team in London (or the UK in general)? Any tips for a newbie?
