Both, one won't have much to do with the other, just thought I'd move the thread here so it gets exposure, and the board wouldn't be empty. ;)

Whoo hoo!

(slow day at work, even the smallest thing has me all excited)

This is very exciting....  Count me in...  Of course, I will not be able to add my donations to library until after I am there...   I have about 75lbs of books on their way to england as I type this.

It is a shame this was not set up earlier...  I donated 4 boxes of books to library here...  of course I would have had to get them there...  s'ok!

I think Leah you wanted input on the book club and the book exchange. Me personally, I would do the book club, but not the exchange. I just can't guarantee that I would be reading books in a good time to then pass them on. (I'd end up getting it, not reading it and then sending it back out due to sheer guilt.) With a book club, there's no one depending on me. I can just participant as and when it's a good time for me to do so.

(I've just gotten myself involved with the local neighborhood newsletter...my first meeting and I have been elected to do all the typesetting and layout; the person doing it for the last five years just up and quit! This time obligation has me rather freaked now so I'm being more cautious than usual until I can see where this thing is heading.)
Married to Graham, we run our own open-source computer training company in beautiful Wiltshire out of our 1814 Georgian Regency home (a former lodging house and once featured in Antiques Roadshow)

I'm for both the lending library and the book club!  Unfortunately I didn't ship most of my books when we shipped our belongings over...however, they'll be moved over in the not-too-distant future.

Again, both ideas are really good and I'd be happy to participate in both!  :)
Life should NOT be a journey to the
grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well
preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand,
wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and
screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"

Hi Katelyn, sorry I didn't see this sooner. The Lending Library is a feature available for Supporting Members, this practice protects everyone's goodies really. :)

New book to be added soon, it's just come in a big Amazon box. ;D See other thread. ;)
