And a new Mobile premium service which costs less than the Super Premium Servce. I wonder if this is for someone who is too ill to go anywhere to enrol their biometrics? It is only £4,500.   ???
Married 1966, left UK 1969, returned 1998, left again 2000, returned June 2014 (husband on spousal visa) granted FLR(M) November 30th 2016  and ILR on  24th May, 2019. Yeah!

To be honest, it was on another forum!

And it looks like there are some new ways for them to make money. A few categories appear not to have existed before, such as £25 processing fee for processing an application which is subsequently rejected! So not only are you devastated by the rejection, you have to pay them another £25?!

Isn't "rejected" when you get the visa fee back in full? As opposed to "refused" when you don't? They did say they were going to bring in an admin fee for those who are given their visa fee back.

Oh, that would make sense.

Is there a time limit once you hit submit online to get your app to Sheffield? Just wondered if we could submit on 17th March and then take our time with biometrics appointment to give us a chance to finalise everything but avoid the price hike?

You have only 5 days from the biometrics appointment to mail everything to Sheffield, but that seems to be the only definite time limit on the UKVI website.

It used to be that you also had to get the documents to Sheffield within 30 days of the online application date (which was reduced to 5 days from biometrics), but I can't find this mentioned explicitly on the UKVI website anymore.

Wondering if anyone can clarify the timeline of the spousal visa application process in relation to this fee increase. I'm trying to submit my application before the fee increase on the 18th. Do I just need to submit my application by then and the fee will be adjusted, or is the fee assessed when I mail everything after my biometrics appointment?

Trying to gauge whether I should hurry to get everything done by Thursday, if that makes sense.

Thanks for any help, I am brand new at this!

The fee is paid at the time of application.  As long as you submit the application online by the 17th, you'll be paying the current fee.

Thanks so much! That's what I thought, but the UK Visa website itself is pretty unclear as to timeline. My plan will work!

Good job! I had no such luck. I was going to be able to beat the deadline of April 6th when we originally thought that was going to be the day they raised fees, but since they sneakily moved it to the 18th, I had no chance. Oh well :-/ Just waiting on them to release the new application form with new fees now!

Update - it's past 3pm an still no new form although the fees are on the website and other forms seem to have been updated :-/ Frustrating. I was hoping to work on this this weekend.

I did just that KFdancer! :-)

But now it's Monday again (sigh) and I'm still waiting for the new.form. It seems they have updated others but not the FLR (M) with new fees. They're so slow! I hope it's updated soon before panic sets in.
