Hi All,
I'm a dual national currently living in the UK.
I am self employed as a freelance photographer. In addition to my UK self assessment, I file my US tax return each year through an expat tax service.
This year I am spending the first few months in the USA with family.
I have booked a potential photography job here for $2,000 in April.
Obviously I have a US passport and Social Security Number, so my query is whether its ok to be resident in the UK, and earn a small amount of money in the USA while I'm here.
And if so, does it need to be reported in a different way? Ideally I would simply add it to the same return I normally do, as an extra $2,000 in income.
Thanks in advance for your help.
