Ok I finished "The English Assassin" and I have to say that I was disappointed by the way that it ended.  The book was quite good overall, but it's ending left a lot to be desired by it.  I'd hoped that it wouldn't be ended so suddenly and would be a little more twisting and turning with plot twist after plot twist, unfortunately it was just a spy novel (losely speaking) and ended on an obvious note....

Maybe I'm too demanding with the kind of books that I like?  Although, ;) Wench would say differently as far as Conan Doyle was concerned lol

So now I'm reading "Red Light" which has been recommended by my beautiful and wonderful wife :) who's only gone and  nicked my Harry Potter and is going to read it before me!! :o It's ok I don't mind at all :)

"Shopaholic Takes Manhattan" by Sophie Kinsella...very easy reading with laugh-out-loud humor. It's the second in the 'Shopaholic' book triology (the first was 'Confessions of a Shopaholic'). Very enjoyable!

I'm reading Genome by Matt Ridley.  It's terrific...really written in a way so laymen can understand it.  My mom loves it too....she has a degree in biology and studied genetics in the 1960s....so there's something there for the more scientific-minded people too.  The book concentrates on one chromosome at a time and you can jump in and out of chapters, which is terrific.

I highly recommend it....10 out of 10.

I recently finished reading Summer Sisters by Judy Blume.
If anyone hasn't read Summer Sisters, I highly recommend it.

Strangely enough I'm actually finally getting down to reading Enchantment.  lol....Yep I should have actually read it about two months ago when all the rest of you read it.....I still haven't read my harry potter book yet!

I just recently finished red light by Jefferson Parker which I thought was really good, although I knew did it as soon as Elle said "so who'd you think the murder is then?" lol.....Anyhow I'm liking Enchantment thus far, I'm only on page 40 or so at the moment.

Recently reread a favourite book from high school, Flowers for Algernon....still love it!  Also recently read Lucky (Alice Sebold) and just finished reading A Child Called It...very heartbreaking but I do enjoy reading autobiographies...wish i could get into reading a few fantasy books!

A Child Called It....a very dark, disturbing but eye-opening and sad book. I just finished a nice little feel good read, "The Five People You Meet in Heaven" by Mitch Albom 8)

I'm currently reading Angels and Demons by Dan Brown.  Its about the Illuminati basically the first satanic cult or so it says in here.

He also wrote a book called the DaVinci Code.  Has anyone read it.  I'm looking forward to it but waiting until it comes out in paperback.  Thanks

My husband just finished the new installment of Stephen Kings Dark Tower series and he absolutely loved it, couldn't put it down. I'm reading the Idiot by Dostoevsky, figure it will be good for the long plan ride.  :-/
I'm done moving. Unrepatriated back to the UK, here for good!

Such a good book I'd recommend it to anyone!

An Ellis Peters.  Total comfort reading on a wet night.
I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that I don't know the answer.
