Life insurance?
« on: April 06, 2016, 11:44:51 PM »
Will it be fairly easy for us to get life insurance policies in the UK as Americans? Any recommendations for companies?

Just s general warning, when you start looking for life insurance you might end up talking to a financial adviser.  My experience with that industry is that they will tell you that your status as an American has no bearing on what they are recommending when they actually have no clue.   Be careful.

Thanks! Are you talking about them maybe recommending something with cash value? I am only interested in term life.

So we are here and I am wanting to change life insurance (still have one in force in Canada).  Any advice on UK life insurance policies? What about US, do any of you still have American life insurance policies?

Do the companies actually come to your home here for a medical exam?

I have a non-term life insurance policy in the US and I just kept it. I got it in my early 20s so wouldn't get the same deal now I guess.
