Ahem, I believe Sam Kinison was the teacher in Ferris Bueller's Day Off:

Professor Terguson: Is she right? 'Cause I know that's the *popular* version of what went on there. And a lot of people like to believe that......I wish I could, but I was *there*. I wasn't here in a class room, hoping I was right, thinking about it.

I was up to my knees in rice paddies, with guns that didn't work! Going in there, looking for Charlie, slugging it out with him; While p*&&%s like you were back here partying, putting headbands on, doing drugs, and listening to the g**&amn Beatle albums!

 Oh! Oh! Oh!
I just hope that more people will ignore the fatalism of the argument that we are beyond repair. We are not beyond repair. We are never beyond repair. - AOC

Sorry SoaS... It's Ben Stein that's the teacher at the beginning of Ferris Bueller's Day Off. I've seen that movie more times than any other movie but Disney...

Sam Kinison was in a movie came out in 86' called Back to School?
The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

Some EEA nationals and all their dependants have to buy Comprehensive Sickness Insurance and they want to know why they aren't alllowed to buy the cheaper £200 a year IHS, instead of having to buy private insurance that is based on age and their health.

If your sponsor stops working, then because you are on a UK spouse visa you don't lose the right to work and live in the UK. If the EEA national stops being a 'qualified person' then they and all their dependants lose their right to reside and work in the UK.

They also have to keep up to date with all the changing EU rules in the UK to ensure they are maintaining a right to reside in the UK at all times, whereas once you have your visa you follow the rules of when your visa was granted. The new Immigration Act 2016 that became law on 12 May, means that some immigration crime will now become a criminal offence, which means that the proceeds of that crime can be seized and the person committing the crime can go to jail.

This is definitely interesting to know as I've never heard any of this from the two people I work with that are EU immigrants. We were discussing it just the other day so this above is very interesting. Thanks for sharing!

Sticking more with Chris Farley

I must admit, I think of the Tommy Boy plane bathroom scene every time I go into a cramped dressing room.

I swear David Spade would have blended right in in a sort of Daria-era GAP.

Ok...I've got Uncle Buck and Breakfast Club set up for this weekend. Will get back up to speed!

That's a coincidence, we watched Breakfast Club last weekend as a family movie night.  The kids enjoyed it, I think they were surprised that such an ancient movie could possibly understand anything about the social dynamics of their school.

I was a bit disappointed when they took The weird girl and made her up to look like a cheer leader, then the jock guy was kissing her in like, 10 minutes.

Not bad, needs more work.
