I agree haha I think il take him on a daytrip to Paris and maybe a river cruise . Hopefully a trip up the eiffel tower too ❤️

A day trip?  Seriously?  You've got to stay over at least one night if you are going to take him up the Eiffel Tower.

Paris or Rome?

I think the scope is a weekend break  from London .

Oh really? I figured a day would be enough for Paris? I guess that sounds pretty rushed now, come to think of it. Is it bad that the main thing that I'm really looking forward to is having fondant?

It's roughly 2.5 hours each way, plus however long it takes you to get to kings cross.  You can do it in a day but where's the romance in that?  You'll be in such a hurry there won't be time for fondant.

What's fondant anyway?  Isn't that just frosting?

Oh yeah you make a great point, also i hear paris at night is just stunning . Il definitely check out some deals. Fondant is like a pot of melted cheese where you dip pieces of bread and such in. It's a french dish I believe and they make it beautifully

Fondue?

I associate that more with Switzerland, but according to Wikipedia, it's a Swiss, Italian and French dish.

I'd suggest crepes (both sweet and savoury) in Paris before seeking out fondue. Seems more Parisian to me.

Isn't that fondue?

Fodue is definitely the melted cheese. Fondant means "melting" in French, and refers to the cakes with molten insides. Fondant icing comes from the same word but is more of a thing in the UK.

If you try to do a day trip on the Eurostar, you'll spend most of your time on the train or getting to/from the station. Consider an AirBnB (www.airbnb.com) my mom and I had one when we were in Paris in April. It's good value and you can stay in some great places.

That sounds dangerous. I'm staying away from that.

Haha im such a doofus! Definitely meant fondue . Speaking of fondant and molten insides, has anyone seen this cake on the Tasty videos which is basically a chocolate cupcake with molten peanut butter inside. That gooey heaven
Apparently my friend who's lived in paris said everything can be done in a day and I found a deal on wowcher which will give us 10 hours roaming time in paris . Also im weary of airbnb ive had a bad experience with it once. "8 bedroom" house turned out to be a single bed studio with bed bugs *cringes*.
In all fairness airbnb refunded me the whole stay plus vouchers, it was just a case of dodgy hosts so I could be tempted to check it out

I guess that depends on what "everything" is. If you mean the major tourist sites, you can see all of them in 10 hours but you'll be rushing around and won't really be able to spend time at any of them. Also remember that it's the height of tourist season right now so the queues will be massive.

I've been to Paris six or seven times and there's always something new to see. If you only want to go for a day you'd be better off choosing three or four things you'd really like to do and taking your time with them.
