Access to My Social Security Account
« on: August 01, 2016, 02:01:59 PM »
If you use the SSA "My Social Security Account" to access your pension information. The SSA has added a new level of security to the online access.  You now have to provide a cell phone number and they send you a access code the is valid for 10 mins.  I have tried to add a UK phone number and it does not work.  It has to be a US cell number.  I called the international Operations number and have been told that we will no longer have access to the My Social Security Account pages unless we can provide a US cell number and if you require benefit verification letters you will need to contact the London Embassy FBO. The gave me this link the explains why they have done this.
