A hopeful Georgian to the UK
« on: October 16, 2016, 05:19:51 PM »
Hello everyone. I'm Emily, recently married to a native Kentish post man and I'm currently in the agonizing waiting period to find out if my spouse visa will be approved. I've been a lurker on this site for a long time but just recently made an account as I'm sure as my move becomes a reality that I will have even more questions and quandaries. Any fellow USY Georgians and/or folks from Kent? We're currently finishing up the process of purchasing a flat in Maidstone so if all goes well, that's where I'll be in a month or so.  :)

Hello and welcome!! I'm not from Georgia (I'm from neighboring Florida though!) Best of luck in your move :-) I have never been to Kent but have always heard nice things.

Welcome, you'll like Kent.  They grow lots of soft fruits, like cherries and plums.  Be sure to check out one of my favourite places, Dungeness, with it's lighthouse and miniature train.
