Hi guys

My package arrived yesterday and the visa has been approved. Exciting yesssss.
However, the visa was issued on the October 20th and is good until November 19th which gives us just a little over two weeks to enter the country. Wow so they processed the visa but just didn't feel the need to send it out until the 31st which is 11 days later.
Anyway it's done and we are very happy.

To everyone who is waiting please just be patient as their system makes little sense and don't let it get you down.

That's horrible!!! I emailed the inquiry service and got an email back within an hour saying that Ethan and my visas are processed.  I just have to wonder how many days are they going to sit on it?  Will it come to me with only a week or two to get over?

Congratulations!!!  ;D

I do wish they would take more care with this aspect of the process. 30 days is not really enough time in the first place if you ask me, cutting it short is terrible.

Just remember that if you know you are not going to be ready in time, you can always do a quick trip there and back just to pick up your BRP, then you can return to the UK once you are all sorted.

Thanks guys:) i literally feel like they wanna torture u till the very end lol, it's so nerve racking until you actually open up your package. I'm so thankful n just hope n pray i got my visa.

Mev, that is brilliant!!! Finally!!! Congrats!!!  So excited and happy for you.  Sorry I've been MIA.  We moved out Friday and have been on the road since then.  Got bumped out of my account and couldn't reset it because the email went into junk!

In any case, have been keeping track of your progress, along with Airadele and adislejla - just couldn't respond!!

adislejla - big congrats to you too.  I know, it sucks that by the time you receive it and when they issue it, there's a lag but you have it now and that's what's important.

Airadele - hang tight.  It will be any time soon - hopefully before the weekend.  I can't explain the lag times between things - it doesn't make sense to me but it was atleast 4 days after they issued my visa that I got the official email from Sheffield on a Friday. They also didn't send my package until the following Monday evening - so a whole weekend of waiting but when they did, to my surprise, it arrived the very next afternoon - super quick!  Can't explain it but when things move, they bloody move!!!

We are now in Florida spending time with my sister and her husband before flying out to London on Monday for a brief few hours - literally just to pick up my BRP and then fly out the same night.  I really hope it's there when we go to the post office. Finally reunited with hubby - so glad that he still remembered what I looked like!

Airadele, still here with you buddy - hang in there.  Will do cartwheels when you get the official note/package.  Mev, it will be approved - don't sweat it!!! They always save the best to last  ;D

Airadele, hang tight.  At least we already know yours is approved (though I have no doubt Mev's is either).

I DO fear for both of you (Airadele and Mev) that you'll have reduced time to travel as they've been sitting on your packages.  Be ready to book those flights!   ;D

I got a response from the inquiry service, apparently a decision has been made! I'm so nervous about how long it will take for the official email and for how much time I'll have to prepare to leave, if I get it! I've never been so nervous 😩

Woo hoo!  Seems to take about a week to get the official decision made email at the moment.  Hopefully it'll be less.  I'd start having your eye out for flights though as you may only have a couple of weeks to enter by the time your visa makes its way to you.   :)

Hi everyone,

My hubby's MP emailed us this morning to let us know that my visa was issued on the 24th of Oct! You guys, I got it!!!!! I can't even describe the emotion we felt. It's one less day to agonize, as our package is meant to arrive tomorrow afternoon. Thank you God, my family and all my friends which include all of you guys. Truly the support has meant so much.

Just curious, if we were to fly to the UK just to pick up the BRP and fly back, how much time do we have until we need to move?  Ideally we would like to spend Christmas with family in the US and move in January.  Not sure if there is any time constraint after picking up the BRP.
