I know it's no longer November but I though I'd add mine... The start of Christmas season and all.

Docs Shipped: Dec 7

I posted mine November 22, it was received the 28th, and I got the decision on December 6. The initial delay was because of Thanksgiving holiday. So it only took a week to hear back, non priority. :)

I submitted my application in November and they received it on the 30th (confirmation email). It's a priority settlement and I still haven't gotten any further emails. I'm beginning to worry that my visa is either going to be rejected or not make it in time for me to spend Christmas with my husband :(

Unfortunately things do start to slow down a bit this time of year (big rush of applications from people trying to get here before Christmas).  Don't lose hope yet!  Just be aware that it can slow down this time of year.

Thank you for your kind words of encouragement. This has been a very stressful process!

My new husband and I recently applied for our UK Spouse Visa.  My husband is American, we applied for Priority Spouse visa.

Submitted online visa application - Monday 28th November 2016
Completed bio-metrics                  - Tuesday 29th November 2016
Folder of Evidence                        - Received by Home office on Thursday 8th Dec
No further updates at this stage

Hoping we can get him home to N Ireland for Christmas.

Can you please elaborate why he is best not to travel to Dublin as most of the connecting flights to Belfast from London are fully booked, Dublin appears to be the only route available in December (if we are lucky to get him back before Xmas)

thank you!  The waiting is very stressful :-)

It's not that it's best not to travel via Dublin.  It's that he won't technically be entering on his visa if he travels in from Dublin!  Ireland is part of the CTA with the UK.  What that means is that passengers arriving into the UK from Dublin do not go through UK passport control.

Your husband's visa will have a vignette (sticker) in his passport that is valid for 30 days.  He needs to have UK Border Control stamp this sticker in his passport during that 30 day window.  He then takes his passport, with the stamp to the designated post office to collect his Biometric Resident Permit (his actual visa).  If he doesn't have the stamp, he can't collect his visa!

An option would be to have him fly in via Dublin.  Then for you (ooops him) to take a trip to the continent and re-enter and get the stamp.

Hope you get a reply soon.  Did you receive a mail from Home Office confirming receipt of your evidence?  We submitted our folder last week and still have not got a confirmation.  Good Luck and will look out for your updates!

I did, although I haven't received a response yet :( Here's my timeline so far. (Mine is a spouse visa).

Application submitted: Nov. 21
Biometrics taken & application mailed: Nov. 25
Confirmation email that application had been received: Nov. 29

Now I'm just waiting for the decision email.
