Congrats to everyone who has finally received their visas:D!

Just a friendly reminder for people with spousal visas not to book any flights that travel through Dublin, Ireland (or any other Republic of Ireland airport). They are usually the cheapest flights, but as there are no immigration controls between Ireland and the UK, your visa will not be stamped... and without that stamp you may not be able to pick up your BRP card.

yes priority seemed the safest option, people have been getting a confirmation in 2/3 days, so hoping for a similar outcome :)

Generally speaking, the faster the decision, the more likely it's an approval.

A refusal takes time to go through - they have to check every document twice, possibly make enquiries, maybe request further information from you... which can take a few extra days.

However, if the application is straightforward, you meet all the requirements and you've included every document, then the decision is easy - they just have to go down their checklist, tick off all the documents and issue the visa... only takes an hour or two.
Sorry to say but its not necessary. Sometime they just refuse even if u met all the suitability.

No, they don't, at least not with applications made in the US (though this shouldn't happen with any application from any country).

If you meet all the requirements AND you send every single required document, the visa will be granted.

I've been advising on this forum for almost 10 years, and I've never seen an application refused in the case where all the requirements are met and all the documents are included.
