We won't talk about how long it took for my ballot to arrive in the US... I was beginning to think it wouldn't arrive in time!
I gave mine like 3.5+ weeks for delivery. When my family mentioned they thought that was a bit excessive just for a few pieces of paper, I told them they don't know Royal Mail like I do.
I was advised that if the ballot arrives slightly past the election date, as long as it's postmarked before, it can still be counted. I think you have like a 10 day window after the election to make it in if you've mailed from abroad. I don't know if that's a federal thing, or state thing, or just a county thing.
