FLR (M) Spouse Visa Renewal Supporting Document Checklist
« on: January 16, 2017, 12:43:59 PM »
Hi everyone! I am hoping someone can help me with a supporting document checklist of everything I need for my FLR(M) Spouse Visa? I want to make sure I have everything I need and correct as my in person appointment is the beginning of Feb. We are using my spouses proof of income.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi KKennedy, welcome to the forum.  :)

Ksand24 has a nice list that she posts sometimes, if you take a look back through some of her posts you should be able to find it.

In the mean time, you could post what you have already, with a little more explanation of your circumstances, as what you send will depend on that and we'll chime in to help.

This is what I had for my appointment last week which is fairly accurate and you mustn't miss one.

- Email confirming appointment payment and time/date
- Email with IHS reference number on
- Email confirming IHS payment

- Applicant's Passport
- Sponsor's Passport

- Applicant passport photograph (x2)
- Sponsor passport photograph (x1)

- Marriage Certificate

- 6 of latest payslips
- Employer letter
- Bank statement (printed and stamped on each page)

- Council tax bill (shared)
- Water bill (shared)
- Water bill (shared)

- Work Income Protection Letter (applicant)
- HMRC Tax Calculation Letter (applicant)
- NHS Appointment letter (applicant)

- Home Insurance letter (sponsor)
- Bank Statement (sponsor)
- Council Tax Letter (sponsor)

- Tenancy Agreement

The items in bold....you need either 6 items with both your names on spread over the last two years, or, where you don't have shared items, you need an item each for that same period.

So you'll need (either shared or one each) items with your address on from periods:

Feb-Jun 2015
July-Oct 2015
Nov-Jan 2015/16
Feb-Jun 2016
July-Oct 2016
Nov-Jan 2016/17

You mustn't miss a period or at least have a very valid reason to miss one (eg. lived with parents so never got a bill). If you did live with parents you would need a letter saying that you lived there.

As it's the beginning of February remember to get your latest bank statements and payslips (assuming your spouse gets paid at the end of the month).

All depends on which financial category you are applying under, as well as if you own or rent your current property.

What KFDancer said. My application (above) was applying under financial Category A (continued salaried employment for over six months) and I was/am renting. Different financial and accommodation situations mean different evidence is needed

Thank you both! We will be applying under category A and rent as well.

So far I have:
- Email confirming appointment payment and time/date
- Email with IHS reference number on
- Email confirming IHS payment

- Applicant's Passport
- Sponsor's Passport

- Applicant passport photograph (x2)
- Sponsor passport photograph (x1)

- Marriage Certificate

- 6 of latest payslips (husband's)
- Employer letter (husband's)

- Tenancy Agreement

I will need to pull bills out for each of us (this process definitely made me think to add  both of our names to the bills at least after since it's too late now). Can they be from the same company for different months? i.e. gas/electric; phone etc...

I was granted my original visa in May 2014 and arrived in the UK in June 2014. Does this mean I need to show bills from 2014 all the way to 2017?

6 months of bank statements to correspond to the payslips
Husband's job contract
Husband's most recent P60

The mail needs to be from at least three different sources.  You only need the two years prior to application (six month grace to get set up on bills, etc.).

Hi again!

I have a question regarding the mail evidence. I have 2 pieces of mail addressed to my husband that I am not sure if I can use as shared or just for him:

1. July 2016 - letter from Denplan confirming dental coverage for both my husband and myself. It shows the date of joining for each of us.

2. Dec 2016 - letter from AXA PPP Healthcare confirming private coverage for both my husband and myself. It shows the date of joining for each of us.

If the letters have both your names, they can be used as joint items.

Keep digging. You need to find more than that!   :D

haha I seriously love and appreciate how quickly you respond!

Here is what I have so far (I suppose I can move the dental and healthcare to shared even though they are addressed to my husband but have both of our names listed on the coverage in the letter to shared?):

Jan 2015 – Marriott Hotels Payslip (Applicant)
May 2015 – Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency – car driving theory test (Applicant)
Oct 2015 – Jurys Inn Payslip (Applicant)
Mar 2016 – SSE Scottish Hydro Gas Bill (17 Dec 2015 – 24 March 2016) (Applicant)
Aug 2016 - North East Scotland College Course Confirmation with receipt (Applicant)
Dec 2016 – SSE Scottish Hydro Electric Bill (16 Sep 2016 – 16 Dec 2016) (Applicant)

Feb 2015 – Letter from Sky (Sponsor)
Sep 2015 – Letter from American Express (Sponsor)
Nov 2015 – Letter from HSBC (Sponsor)
May 2016 – Letter from Royal Bank of Scotland (Sponsor)
July 2016 – Denplan – Letter confirming dental coverage for both Sponsor and Applicant
Dec 2016 – AXA PPP Healthcare – Letter confirming private coverage for both Sponsor and Applicant

Way to big of a gap for the sponsor between Feb and Sept 2015, you need to find something from May 2015.

Too big of a gap for the applicant between Oct 15 and March 16.

Ideally you want something for each of you, every 4 months.

I wouldn't use a December 2016 and January 2017 document, for example.

Jun 2016 – Letter from B&CE Pension (Applicant)
Sep 2016 - North East Scotland College Course Confirmation Letter (Applicant)
Dec 2016 – SSE Scottish Hydro Electric Bill (16 Sep 2016 – 16 Dec 2016) (Applicant)

Hi again...so sorry for asking so many questions, I just want to get this right. :)

Would the above mail be okay to use? I tried spreading them out more evenly with what I found.

You have way too much. You only need six each over the period of two years. I would probably do it like this (below). However, I do NOT know if payslips count as proof of address so somebody would need to clarify this before you submit. Do you guys have anything between August-Sep? This is purely in terms of spreading out with what you have

Applicant
- Mar 2015 (Feb-May) - SSE Scottish Hydro Electric bill
- Sep 2015 (Jun-Sep) – Jurys Inn Payslip
- Jan 2016 (Oct-Jan) – O2 Bill (Applicant)
- Mar 2016 (Feb-May) – SSE Scottish Hydro Gas Bill
- July 2016 (Jun-Sep) – Denplan – Letter confirming dental coverage for both (shared)
- Dec 2016 (Oct-Jan) – SSE Scottish Hydro Electric Bill

Sponsor
- Feb 2015 (Feb-May) – Letter from Sky
- Sep 2015 (Jun-Sep) – Letter from American Express
- Dec 2015 (Oct-Jan) – Letter from HSBC
- Mar 2016 (Feb-May) – Letter from Aberdeen City Council Tax Bill
- July 2016 (Jun-Sep) – Denplan – Letter confirming dental coverage for both (shared)
- Dec 2016 (Oct-Jan) – AXA PPP Healthcare

However, still take all the above and as much as you can to the appointment. When we had our FLRM appointment we had messed up on the payslips and were so thankful this was spotted while at the appointment so we could rectify it there and then
