i think it would pretty easy to make your own flavoured creamer... im sure you'd find recipes on the interwebz, and without all the chemicals, it'd probably taste even nicer than Coffee Mate!

But the chemicals are what make it taste the best!  ;)

Eeek :( I would just kill for some actual liquid coffee cream! When I visit the US it's only really for 2 weeks at a time once a year and it's not nearly long enough to enjoy all the flavours of creamer Stop & Shop or Market Basket has to offer me! hah

Must tell you a funny story about liquid coffee creamer.  My husband's adult nephew came out to visit us in Florida.  He borrowed our car to go to Publix and get some snacks and beer.  He bought a bottle of Irish Cream coffee creamer.  Later in the day he was making a sandwich, he sat down, got the creamer out, opened it and took a big swig.  "Eww, this drink is just awful".

Oh god gross....hahahahaha did he think it was like a pre-made irish cream coffee drink or something?!

Every time I see an update on this thread, I hope it's someone coming in to post that they've found a deal on regular cheez-its!

I did find some cheese crackers at poundland over the weekend that are the closest thing I've had, so far, to goldfish crackers here. My kids love 'em!

Yes, it thought it was a coffee drink.  The look on his face was priceless.  I belly laughed.  And then realized that bottled liquid coffee creamer most likely wasn't a thing in England.

They had them at Tesco for awhile last year. I bought a box. Now they're weird flavours. But still cheez-its
The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

My husband gets some Asda brand "cheeselets" that are similar to cheez-its actually!

Oh no!! Did he think it was actual Irish cream liqueur? Still, with a sandwich? That's a bit gross too. Lol

I didn't do anything that horrible but I didn't know squash had to be diluted with water. Straight-up Ribena is pretty gross!

No, he didn't think it was a liqueur, he thought it was a cold coffee drink.  So gross.  Then when I told him what it was for, he put it in the fridge and told us all to use it.  I told him that after he'd put his mouth on the bottle, I didn't think there would be any takers.

LOL!  Once when my ex and I were in the US, he opened a packet of the dry Kool-Aid mix, poured the whole thing into a glass of water and attempted to drink it.  He didn't know:
a) one packet is for a quart (?) of water
b) you have to add sugar

OMG, his face!!

I can't imagine the powder dissolved that well in such a small amount of water! it must've tasted crusty like he had mixed sand in his water! UGH  :-X

Hahaha I would have been able to see past that as he's family. Although It is irritating to watch people drink out of the bottle!

I made the same mistake with the orange squash at work... thought it was orange juice.  <shudders>
