US passport
« on: February 05, 2017, 04:15:18 PM »
Our family has dual citizenship and we live in the UK. We're thinking of spending the summer break back in America. This means leaving in late July and staying until mid August. Now, my son's American passport is expiring in mid September. Will he able to leave the UK and come back when his passport only has about a month validity then?

Yes.  His US passport only needs to be valid the day you enter the US.  And his UK passport only needs to be valid the day you re-enter the U.K.  No six month validity needed for citizens.
