UK Fiance VISA can you still get refused at border control

KFdancer wow yes I can see how quick the time will go and also how "unromantic" it all is!!  Re: the utility bill, they will be moving in with me (my son's family home) so that my son can save the majority of his money for the wedding and a place of their own once married.  So not sure how my future daughter-in-law can have a utility bill, etc in our address? 

ksand24 glad the two visa's require the same info, it will make life much easier second time around.

A good option would be for her to apply for her provisional driving license.

They may decide that it'll be easier to do the "legal bit" in another country and have the ceremony they desire in the UK on the date they desire.  In other words, a blessing instead of a wedding.

The spouse visa route is easier and cheaper however at the end of the day two people are getting married so it depends if they're happy to do something to KFdancer's suggestion.

With a spouse visa she gets instant NHS use and can work

Ben1989 thank you, I agree its about the two of them getting married and I think they would be much happier doing it in London so that family can attend.
