True... it's not a 'cheese sandwich', it's a 'piece and cheese'!
And a jam sandwich is a 'jeely piece'... unless it's a 'sair haun'... if you're eating the jeely piece and the jam leaks out of the bread and runs down your hand, it looks like blood... a sore hand (sair haun).  ;D

Connoisseurs of Glaswegian humour should check out the great Matt McGinn's Jeely Piece Song:  "Ye cannae fling a jeely piece oot a twenty story flat." Available on YouTube, no doubt.

P.S. Autocorrect hates dialect.

Matt McGinn's Jeely Piece Song

Well that's a sly little number.

Moderator!   The Scottish are hijacking my thread!  Why do they persecute me so?

Never mind, I love the Scottish now after that well-timed kick to Theresa May and her lickspittle parliament.  Good job guys!

Feel free to continue talking about obscure sandwich names.

"And this, for me, is a key consideration. If I ruled out a referendum, I would be deciding - completely unilaterally - that Scotland will follow the UK to a hard Brexit come-what-may, no matter how damaging to our economy and our society it turns out to be."

Well reasoned.
