Any suggestions on a really good converter?  I need 5000 watts for my woodworking tools,  have been reading a lot,  just wonder if anyone has any recommendations.

Hi,

Here's a converter for you

https://www.sitebox.ltd.uk/tradesafe-5kva-intermittent-rated-5kva-transformer-input-240-voltoutput-110-volt-oTRANS55

Another seller, I've often been to these shops for getting items

https://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Main_Index/Xmas_Lights/USA_110volt_Convertor_Transformer/

The units listed only go up to 3kW though. Might need to ask them if they can get a 5kW one?

Cheers, DtM! West London & Slough UK!

I use one of those yellow worksite transformers. I made up a cable that converts from the strange UK 110V socket to a US socket. I use it for my US trim router.
