Been here about 2.5 years. Hubby tried adding me to his account at Nationwide. No joy. Then I tried at HSBC. Because my name on passport was different than on my drivers licence they said no......even with a water bill and marriage certificate. Finally tried opening online with Barclays. I then had to go into an appointment with documents. Success! I am now the official customer with a zero balance current account lol. Just temporarily. May begin a job soon.
