Thank you for mentioning that but that's something I was familiar with when my husband sponsored my immigration here.   ;)

OK, good!  :)

I addressed mine to "Dear Sir or Madam".

I addressed mine to "Dear Sir or Madam".

Yep, either that, or 'To The Entry Clearance Officer' - because that's the person who will process the application :).

Ok so I'm going to ask a really silly question now  ::)

Can you please clarify which documents have to be originals and not notarised copies? Also with regard to passport size photographs, how many and is this just for my husband or do I need them also?

The applicant's passport would have to be original but apart from that I can't think of anything that can't be a notarized copy.
You're always better to send as much as possible that is original or the original copy (thinking marriage and divorce documents here) though.

For the initial spouse visa you just need one for the applicant. The instructions say to UK specs but most people seem to use the US size and are fine because they don't use the photo on the visa anyway.

By the way, there are no silly questions when it comes to visa applications!  :)

Thank you Larrabee  :)

It makes sense to send as much as I can in original format, I just wasn't sure what was mandatory.
The passport size photograph issue is clear to me now, thankfully, as somehow I had got it in my head that my husband needed 3 photos lol  ::)

Just a quick question.
When you submit the online form do they contact you to make a biometrics appointment? because there isn't a telephone number for the biometrics centre here, I know this because bizarrely I'm still waiting for my new green card after having my update biometrics done April 11th....just a worry regarding my husbands immigration as I believe time is of the essence.
