Thank you for your quick reply!

Final question, I paid for send/receive prepaid shipping through vfs to the NYC office from NJ.

PwC said to send the ups label from vfs as well as a self-addressed return envelope.

Is this redundant? Will it confuse how I want documents returned?

Finally got confirmation email from Sheffield today!

There is something so gratifying about that particular email.  It means, eventually they will call your name.  You are in the queue!

We are on the same timeline. I started the process earlier, but arrival in Sheffield and confirmation email were at the same time. I'm priority but a rather involved application (tons of paperwork), so it'll be interesting to see how far apart we are in getting decisions.

It will be interesting! The optimist in me says that we'll both hear back hopefully sooner than we believe. The realist in me says that you'll hear back before me because I have horrid luck  :)

Well one week since that application left my hands into UPS's...less than that obviously since it arrived (19th) -- I'm still calm! That's a good start right? I mean, I have heart palpitations and drink a few glasses of wine each night but that's to be expected right? Right? Lol

Sounds par for the course.  I'm at the two week mark.  I dreamed last night that if I beat a particularly hard round of candy crush that I'd get my decision email.  I beat it and checked and there was the email.  Was so disappointed when I woke up, checked my email and realized I had dreamed it.

Well, I hate to say it but I sure better hear first, or that £700 for priority was a ripoff. :P But as you say, I hope we both hear soon. And everyone else, but I hope Katoo hears soonest of all. She's waiting on round two.

I'm in the same timeline boat, too -- fingers crossed for all of us!

I seriously hope we all get the visas soon-ish (obviously you all probably before me) and then celebratory libations.

I've already been warned that mine may take longer because of extra scrutiny since I got a refusal.  It is a real test of fortitude.

Really? Well that doesn't bode well for me... I have a refusal for an FLR(M) due to a missing payslip and an unauthenticated bank statement copy... I put that in the parcel, thankfully.

Having a previous refusal usually means the application will take a bit longer because they have to look into the reason for the refusal and then scrutinise your application more closely to make sure you qualify this time.
