And hooray to everyone on the board! Enjoy the lovely reunions, and the non-stop action of administratively setting up your life in a new country. :D I feel very invested in this timeline, and hope to see the rest of the decisions made soon. So far I don't believe we've had a single refusal in the priority April group, so let's keep the acceptances coming. :)

I do too! We might have to do an April Timeline UK meet up or something! Personally, I know I need a drink after all of this!

Yes. Our 14th Anniversary is tomorrow. We are very sad that we won't be together. But, hopefully we will be together soon, and I can see my little boy. Our son moved over with my husband so he wouldn't miss school. I can't wait to see them. I miss them so much. (FaceTime just isn't the same.)

It's really poor if you ask me.  The application asks for a travel date and states that the vignette will be made valid for 30 days from that date.

But instead for the last six months they've been making it valid for 7 days prior to the requested date.  Which is nice if you want to leave earlier but not if you wanted The dates to follow their guidelines!

+1 on this

Makes it that much harder to plan when UKVI shifts the travel window like this!

I am fully aware of how this may sound like a weird request, but could anyone who has received their visa post their UPS updates? (i.e. arrival scan, export scan, etc).

That's weird, because they shouldn't be using any passport photos for the vignette or BRP - it's your biometrics photo that is put on the visa now.

There's even been some debate as to whether you even need to send passport photos at all anymore, since they no longer use them for the visa photo.

It's hard for me to tell since I haven't seen it in person... But I'm 99% sure they used my passport photos I sent vs the biometrics for my vignette. I thought that was weird as well.

They used my biometric photo. They returned all of the passport pictures I had sent in. I was kind of mad at that. I looked really good in the passport photo too [smiley=bigcry.gif]

I just zoomed in on the photo my mom took of the vignette. It's definitely one of my passport photos as I was wearing a sweater the day I got those taken and my scrubs the day of biometrics.

I wonder why they used that instead since they're supposed to be using the biometrics? Maybe my biometrics photo was blurry or something?

I guess we still need to be guiding people to send the passport photos in as well just in case.

Yeah, getting a refusal because you didnt send in 5 pounds worth of passport photos would not make that individual happy. Better safe than sorry.

Definitely!! I'm really pleased they used my passport picture! It was a good one. Wish my ACTUAL passport photo was that good. I look like a mom of 15 that hasn't slept in a few years haha. I wish you could smile!

Ha!  The passport photo I sent was by far the best ID photo I've had ever.  And then they didn't use it.  I wish I'd brushed my hair the day I did biometrics...now I know for the renewal.
