Projected timeline given: 12 weeks
Decision made e-mail: 10/05/2017 (10th May)

Fingers crossed it comes back approved!!!

Just arrived on my wife's doorstep - APPROVED!!

Booked her flight immediately, she's flies on Tuesday morning US time, lands this Wednesday morning which gives her a couple more days to pack and to fix anything in business hours on Monday. Earliest her vignette said was 16th May anyhow. It feels surreal to know she's coming here on a one way ticket, no more painful agonising goodbyes. So happy that a four year struggle is about to come to an end. Hope everyone hears soon.

The others who have tried that recently have certainly been successful so I'm sure it'll work for you too! Best of luck!  :)

Wow. That's actually pretty quick processing once it's on their desk. It's crunch time for us as the company determined final moving date and start date a month ago, but didn't get us a CoS until the day I applied (April 19.) I had application mailed April 24th, the date of Biometrics.

In the meantime, in early April the company set up consultants for housing /schooling interviews and appointments for May 15-19 based on PwC recommendations .... and I am nervous. I realize this type of visa is fast in comparison, but we're cutting it so close.

Apparently too close. We've not received any word on visas and will need to not change our travel dates. Supposed to be flying out tomorrow for appointments with schools and estate agents Mon-Fri.

App mailed April 24, received April 25, email confirming April 28, still waiting.

NYC non-settlement ICT tier 2 visa

I have a gut feeling I will have a decision made email this week.    My priority application hit 22 business days on Friday, and yes, I took out the holidays in my counting.  We are hoping for the best and planning for the worst.  Which brings me to my question.  If, for some insane, inane reason, I get another refusal, would I be able to visit the u.k. for a month or so before we start again?  Or would I be refused entry?  The reason I ask, is because my husband wants me to visit for a month or two, then we'll both come back, buy an r.v. To live in and start over, this time with an attorney.  I'm so afraid I'll fly over and be refused entry.

First off, you are going to get your visa.  I can't imagine that it won't be 100% fine this time.

Anytime you have a refusal, it's advised to apply in advance for a visitors visa before traveling.  If you didn't want to, hopefully you would have a sympathetic IO on the day when traveling and allowed in after telling what happened and your revised plans.

But I genuinely don't think you'll be going there.   :)

I love your optimism.  But I can't help but feel lingering dread.  We felt we needed a plan b.

I always have a plan B.  It helps me mentally.  You just aren't going to need yours!

I completely understand. I'm someone who needs a back up for their back up!  ;D

But honestly, I agree with KFdancer. You addressed the points that they didn't like and then some. The rest they were happy with. You will get the visa this time.  :)

Hi Katoo,

I am one of those people who had a denied visa and visited the UK a month later for 5 week sans visitor visa. I didn't think I'd have enough time to apply for one and I had a strong case for needing to go back to the US.

I got allowed in after a few minutes questions.
The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.
