Hi everyone...  :)

We applied (priority service) on 04 April.  I'm British and my husband is Indian. The documents were received in Sheffield on 05 April. It's been 26 working days and we haven't heard anything. My solicitor has sent 2 letters to Sheffield to chase.  Is anyone experiencing a similar situation?   ???

Most of the applicants here are applying from the US. The 22 day processing time referenced by folks on this thread is specific to US applicants. The waiting times for applicants from India is different than applicants from the US. You can look on the UKVI website, https://visa-processingtimes.homeoffice.gov.uk/y, for a really rough estimate of how long it might take. I looked at a few timelines from India and there were longer than the estimated times from the US. Currently, the US times are taking longer than the estimates on the website. Good luck!

I'm sure Applicants from India and USA are on different timelines, but I'll be on day 25 tomorrow with a Priority from USA. Fingers crossed, but I totally understand, because the waiting is so difficult.

Yes, through my ups account and yes, I used VFS.  I called, though.

How does this work? Do you arrange pick-up when you know the package is on its way back to you? Did you directly call VFS to do so? I've got to move out May 31 and am worried the visa won't be back by then, so might have to do this, as well. Just wondering how it works.

I used my ups account.  I called as soon as the package was showing as shipped and I called UPS with the tracking number.  It immediately showed up on the tracking.  It said something like, "status change, customer will pick up".

VFS are just a website selling UKVI services. They have nothing do to with the actual shipping.

If you purchased your shipping labels through the VFS website, they will be for UPS shipping... therefore it's UPS who you should contact with any queries about return of documents.

Alternatively, if you won't be at the correspondence address you put on the visa application, it might be possible to contact UKVI in Sheffield to see if the return address can be changed.

Thanks, I asked because a commenter here said they "called VFS."

I won't be at the correspondence address after May 31, but I don't think it's worth the effort to change the address on the application, especially since my lodging will be ad-hoc while I wait to receive my visa. Sounds like picking up from UPS is the easiest and surest bet.

It seems like the applications are starting to take 24-25 business days, over 21-22. :-\

Mine hit day 25 today.    I expect a few extra days due to the earlier refusal.

Haha thanks!
Yes, today was day 25. I was starting to get pretty worried that something was going wrong. But I have a pretty straight forward application. Still not in the clear until I get my documents back on Thursday.
It says a signature is required, and I live in the middle of the country in Texas. So it looks like I will be sitting at the gate for a couple hours waiting on it! Haha
