I do have a questions that maybe someone can help me with. I've been reading thought this May timeline, and I see that people are mentioning that their bank statements were stamped at the bank.  Im worried because I printed my bank statements from my online banking, and then highlighted the income that matches the monthly pay stub. Was this wrong?!?! I saw that I needed bank statements, but didn't realize that had to be stamped by the bank. Kind of freaking out because I know thats a huge part of the application. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?!

Yes, if you have printed them yourself at home, the statements should have been stamped on each page by the bank.
If UKVI are happy with the rest of your application they may let it slide or they may contact you for more information, unfortunately they could also refuse you on this. There is no way of knowing at this stage.

Hey,

They are supposed to be official bank statements which UKVI specifies that they are either printed by the bank or if they are printed from an online source, thry must be stamped by the bank on every single page or accompanied by a letter on bank letterhead certifying they are genuine.

And to be open about it: my fiance visa was approved with online,non-stamped bank statements. If I had known, my fiance would have gotten an earful. I obl y noticed when I looked at my OLD documents foe my second FLR application in February.

The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

That is such a huge thing for me to mess up! can't believe I overlooked that! In my application that is the only document that I don't have exactly what they require. I'm going to hope they will either ask for me to send the correct statements, or maybe the will let it slide. Don't know what else to do at this point.  Thanks so much for the feedback!

One recently approved visa applicant here did not submit certified bank statements -- just online print-outs. Her application was approved without incident. Don't panic!

If that was the only thing which was not exactly to requirements then I'd say you have a really good chance of them letting it slide. Try not to worry.

I'm in the same boat, I sent in actual bank statements but for the last month I just couldn't wait and sent one I printed myself. I think I'll call Sheffield and ask if I can perhaps send it in? I was sure I was so careful!

Unfortunately you can't add to the application after it has been submitted. If they do want to see it, they will ask for it.
Again, if everything else is perfect there is a very good chance they will let it go.

Hi! I've been slowly stalking everyone's timelines for the past couple of days and figured I'd post my information in the May timeline since that's when I'm technically counting days from. I'm patiently waiting to join my Husband in the UK. And yes, at 12:01pm EST I double check my UPS confirmation number just in case they sent it out without sending me my confirmation email :)

Welcome to the board! My e-mail is the first thing I check when I wake up in the morning, so I know the (neurotic, obsessive) feeling... ;)

Thanks, that definitely makes me feel better. I can't seem to sleep past 6am because I'm wondering if an email might have come though!!

You never know, though. Someone else got asked for more information and still got their answer (yes!) within a reasonable time frame. Crossing fingers for you.

Hey so I had hubby call them and they took down our information and said they'd email him in 3-5 business days about whether we need to or can send in the bank statement. He mentioned that he didn't have the bank statement when we filed but he does now, and the lady said that sounds like a valid reason. Fingers crossed!

I would take anything you hear from the call center with a pinch of salt. They have no actual connection with Sheffield and are very good at providing misinformation I'm afraid.
Sheffield will contact you though, if they want to.
