Glad to see all the decision emails!

Does anyone know if they do priority and non-priority months together or will June priority apps be place ahead of non-priority May? Wish I knew if my upgrade had gone through! At 32 BD today. What are the chances I'll hear back in the next 2 weeks?

Feeling disheartened because I have had no communication with anyone including my MP who hasn't replied to our email and the checker still says, "Not recognized."

Hi there Americanmom,

We've seen a few retrospective upgrades go through in line with reasonable Priority times but the answer is we can't accurately predict the date.  I am on BD36. My application is a model application done using the UK's leading immigration and human rights barrister.  I would suggest we have a reasonable chance of it coming in within 42BDs but not to book anything flights and so on. I don't think there is anything more we can do.  Hang in there, you are still not an outlier on the trend and you are completely within the tolerances of expectations so don't fret and try and take your mind of it.

I need to listen to my own advice!!!

If we could tell you, we would.  Unfortunately this year is very different to prior years...

Hang in there.  You can do it!

Shame they don't show the non-priority & priority timelines.

I think it was ksand who responded to my question about this a few weeks ago. It looks like about 67% of people are applying priority and getting decisions roughly in the six week period (which is running into 7-8 weeks for some on here). And the rest are non priority mostly  decided within 12 weeks.

I have a mini freak out every morning and it slowly simmers down to dejection by night time! Doesn't help that it's raining and cold in Chicago. Matches my mood too well.

I was determined not to check anything today and relax, and that last a good 20 minutes into my morning LOL.

So do June priority get placed ahead of May non-priority for sure? I guess they must do that to make sure their processing times fit the numbers they like.

As the others have said, there is still a good chance. Also re MP I also gave not heard back. The MPs were already backlogged with emails following election, then some MP emails were hacked and this meant they had to restrict access to their accounts while thry sorted it. It should be sorted soon.  Might be worth writing a follow up email.

Re the checker, as far as I can see on here, this is showing as not recognised (unhelpfully) right up until the decision is made. For most people (but not all) once the checker says decision made, they get a decision email within a couple of days.

To Sheffield there isn't really a difference between them as they are all the same application type.
The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

Who knows how they order it all (not sure they know?!) But if you haven't heard within next two weeks or so (within current priority processing times), then you could expect to hear within the following four weeks or so, and by then you should definitely have heard back from the MP, and they will help you.

On a different note - I love Chicago! I had never been to America before Jan 2015. I suddenly needed to write a love story - as one does! And it needed to be set in Chicago. Naturally... So I crowd funded a trip there to write my novel. And I stood barefoot in the snow at the Bean, cos I'm a little crazy. I haven't published my novel, but I did meet my wife within the year, and she lives two hours from Chicago. We took a picture at the Bean on our wedding day. So treasure your extra days in Chicago for me will you please? :)

I think I read yesterday that UPS pick up usually happened around 5pm. I know that might not be much help as bit after 5 now, but think I saw that.

Hi chaitealatte,

I wondered about this as well. I too got my email early this morning and just checked my UPS tracking info. It was picked up at 4:58 pm UK time. Have you checked your return tracking number?
