I would take anything you hear from the call center with a pinch of salt. They have no actual connection with Sheffield and are very good at providing misinformation I'm afraid.
Sheffield will contact you though, if they want to.
This is what I'm hoping, I'm really resentful of this process.

Hi!  I'm a new member but have been pretty much reading all the timeline/updates for the past 2 weeks now.   Here's my application information:

Visa: Fiancé
P/NP: Priority
Application date: April 13
Biometrics: May 5
Application mailed: May 11
Received in Sheffield: May 12 (per delivery confirmation provided by solicitor)
Email received: no (kind of worried but trying not to be)
Anticipated wait time: 30 days (per solicitor)
Decision email:__________
Visa received:___________

I'm hoping for a mid/end of June decision. My apartment lease runs out end of July. But like most, we've got backup plans to our backup plans.  Just so frustrating being stuck with no passport!  Could really use a Caribbean vacation to make the time pass a little quicker!!

Chances are your emails are going to your lawyer.  That's definitely one of the bad things about using one!

I was confused about that! Someone else mentioned this, but we got our confirmation email directly.

Yup, that's what I figured.  Plus side... no constant email checking to fuel the worry fire.

All depends on what was entered on the application.  A good lawyer will direct all communication to you, the applicant.  Not all do though!

Where in Yorkshire? My family and I will be in Ossett initially as one of my parents lives there.

Only 6 business days in for me. I'm nervous that it's going to end up taking longer than the 4-5 weeks I'd been told for processing. Headed to Vegas for a few days next week to try and break up some of the waiting around.

Have fun in Vegas!  :)

For what it's worth, KFdancer said that last summer's priority applications averaged 5 weeks even when non-priority stretched into 5 months. So...even though the timeline is awfully slow right now, there's still hope.
