I feel really lucky. I know there are others that have waited much longer which sucks.  I know my husband reached out to the local MP saying we couldn't register my daughter for school because UKVI had her birth certificate so not sure if that helped or not.  But I can't wait to see my 7 year-old-daughter and just hug her!!!  I miss her and my husband so much.  :)

That should make me feel good but it makes me sad. I know what this feels like being separated, the not knowing and the waiting.  I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

I wish they would just get their act together and process things properly and realize at the other end of the application is a person whose life they are putting into complete chaos.  It's really a disgrace what they are doing.

Just know that one of the things that helps the misery of waiting is seeing things moving and couples and families reunited. It is wrong how dysfunctional the system is right now, especially the failing communication and overcharging. That doesn't mean that it's not wholly good news when you get your visa. We're cheering you on :)

I think shipping is two-day but not sure it includes Saturday delivery, my guess is probably not. I have to contact UPS and have them hold at my local facility so I can pick up because my house sold two weeks ago and I don't live at that address any longer.

Hi there,

First of all, good luck to those still waiting and congratulations to those who have recently received emails/decisions/packages/etc. I feel for each and everyone in here going through this process! But what a great resource for information and support. Wonderful group of people y'all are!

I have a couple of questions ... I received my package on Friday, but was out of town so I am just now looking through what the sent back.

In addition to my letter, passport, and original documents, it looks like they sent back all the copies that I had included for them to keep, if needed.

Did UKVI not need a set of copies to keep? Also, what should be done with the documents that are returned? Should I keep them all together in a file somewhere in case they are needed in the future?

Any ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much!

Liz
