Lyonaria got most of it in her post, but I can't remember leaving those little slips of paper on the table.

The most confusing was that a few of us went to dinner and someone joked that I have to buy a round as new guy.  So I did, which confused everyone.  In England I am completely used to being extorted into buying ridiculously expensive rounds of drinks so it seemed natural.  Then the bartender gave me a piece of paper to carry to the table with me.  WTF

And yes, the tipping thing was a bit surprising at %20

Yeah, they usually come on a tray and you leave it there after you sign it with the pen your server gave you. Or in one of those little black folders/books that hold receipts and a pen so people can't see if you paid by car or cash. Haha.

And most people don't buy rounds for each other in the states, not for large groups. You might for a friend or two and then they'll get you one in the future. Haha.
The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

I bet If you are one of those pop tarts before you died, you wouldn't need embalming.

Omg, I want them! Especially the vanilla latte ones! My step mom sent the kids a 16 pack of brown sugar cinnamon pop tarts and they just about died. I won't buy them here because they are so freakin' expensive!

hahahaha i had to explain to my husband that my favourite pop tarts (and probably only ones I'll eat) are probably considered the most boring (the brown sugar cinnamon ones hahah)

I did want to try those just to see what the vanilla latte tasted like but I wasn't curious enough to pay THAT much. We did walk through Kingdom of Sweets (I think it's called) in London when we went for the day last weekend and just...WOW. SO many different pop tart flavours (BUT NO BROWN SUGAR!)

My child saw pop tarts in the tiny American section at Sainsbury's and exclaimed really loud "they do exist!!" Lol

I'm working in Glasgow city centre for the next 3 months, and noticed there's an American sweetie shop just around the corner, so I popped in today for a snoop...

Dunkin Donuts Vanilla Latte flavoured Pop-Tarts!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!
 :o :o :o

Also Cinnabon breakfast cereal.

YES! :D I posted a pic a bit further up. It's Vanilla Latte flavour and Chocolate Mocha (slightly redundant name lol). They are EXPENSIVE though. Too expensive for me to want to buy them to try them and bin them if they are gross lol

Oh sorry... i guess I missed that!!

Well, I bought them (£5.50), and I think they're lovely!  Brown sugar cinnamon are still my favourites, though.  Good grief... they had some bizarre flavours in that place!

Hahah pop tarts have definitely come a long way in their flavours

It's good to know they taste good as I might see if they exist in the US when I go back or if they were released here as a gimmick. I will have to try them both! :)

So at the Cereal Cafe in Birmingham (the one in the walkway between Grand Central and the Bullring) they had the new Dunkin Donuts pop tarts, so I tried the Vanilla Latte one (for £1.50!). I have to admit it was really a lot better than I was expecting! Of course I haven't eaten a pop tart myself for about 10 years!
