We were told by the call centre that they have a service standard or 10 days from decision to email confirmation, once that has been exceeded email their free complaints address and if you want to speak to the call centre escalate it with them.  The just not knowing is awful

It's best not to put too much faith in anything the call centre tells you.

Approved!  My vignette us valid from Oct 26th, so we've got a ticket to leave florida the evening of the 25th!

Oh I burst into ugly tears when I saw it, what a relief to finally be done with this bit! Thank you all!

[EDIT] I misread, it's been valid since September 26th and expires Oct 26th haha My husband didn't buy the ticket yet, so we're looking now!

Today is BD120 for Keiki and I, so i guess we will keep you posted on what happens to us.

On the plus side we are still within october as they said decisions would be made by then and the callcentre says a decision has been made but no movement on any documentation or anything yet.

(still throwing good luck at you guys)

I think it should exist. It should be free of charge and staff should be properly trained and capable of accurately answering basic questions on the process.

They should also have, real time access to exactly where an application is in the system.

I honestly don't think that's too much to ask!

Things are getting better and Larrabee hasn't even started yet.  Just the threat of her new policies have shaken things up.

Agreed. Am willing to bet a lot of the employees would applaud that too. I tend to form opinions of any government department that's supposed to help people based on how much faster and more efficiently it can take action on people it's supposed to prosecute for violations.

That has got to be one of the best statements I've  ever seen about government agencies!

Keiki, Mhairi8504, Poliphilus.... anything from HO? Have they sent at least a message to acknowledge that they are outside the SLA.

I saw an email this morn... got excited but it turned out to be just another response to an enquiry.... same not straightforward and not able to give a timescale gibberish.

If we had the advisory bunch from here running it, I predict the ratio would be professionally respectable. At the very least Larrabee would have morale up ;0)
