Awww... thank you sillybadger!  :D

That really pretty much goes for the lot of you - being able to get solid, dependable info is as good for morale as knowing people honestly do want everything to go as well as possible for everyone. There are a plethora of people on here that have both covered ;0)
"Human" is a noun. "Black", "White", "Asian", "Latino", "Indigenous", "Male", "Female", "GLBT", "Straight", "Christian", "Jewish", "Muslim", "Buddhist", "Hindu", "Pagan", "Conservative", "Liberal", are all adjectives.

Hi All

Neish we had an update this week following a complaint in writing put fwd by our lawyer a couple of weeks ago about time it was taking, they had an email back from the UKVI apologising as they apparently had emailed seeking extra paperwork from us on the 11th of July but sent it to an incorrect email address

The most frustrating thing about this is that having checked (and double checked) over our application and what was sent they did already have the document that they had requested ...so our lawyer has sent a polite email back (doesn’t want to ruffle any feathers) highlighting that they already have this but resupplying it as well

So basically they didn’t look at the application properly and then sent the request to get more info to the wrong place, then didn’t bother to tell us on any of the calls myself, the mp or the lawyer made to them to check on the status of the application

All extremely frustrating but my lawyer is hopeful that they will be looking at our application now with a view to getting us a decision out imminently..... cross everything she’s right and we are not shoved back in at the back end of the pile

Will keep you updated as I hear more but we don’t expect another response until middle next week

Just insane but no need to lament on what we already know, we just have to continue to have faith that this will soon be resolved for us all in a positive way.  I have all ten fingers and toes crossed  :)

Seems like priority applications have taken center stage for Home Office - fingers crossed we see some non priority applicants get decision made emails and visa's.

To be fair, that is the point of priority.   :)

True, but it feels like a double blow to the non priority applicants that have waited a long time. Fingers crossed they resolve this over the next 10/11 days.

Unfortunately, that's the way it goes when they clear the backlog.

Last summer we had priority applications submitted in October being decided within 5-10 days, even though the non-priority applications from June/July were still waiting.

They did clear the whole of the backlog pretty quickly though and by the end of October/early November, I believe all the decisions had been made.

It likely will be.  Once they start to crank the approvals out, it's completed very quickly.

Fingers crossed they clear out the backlog and they nail those non priority applications. Will be interesting the next couple of weeks.

Hope is all we have left, we can't let this process or Sheffield take that away from us.

Experts I’m sure this question has been answered before, upon collection of BRP will it already include an NI number Or is that a separate process via JobCentre? Thanks!

No, it won't. You'll need to apply for an NI number through the Job Centre.

Only certain visas have an NI included on the BRP... and I believe that's just Tier 2 work visas.
