Lol no still relatively healthy on this end. Just have loads of grey hair from stressing over all this, but what else is new  ::)

Hey all, just wondering cause another user was interested in specifically the March non-priority applicants. I've counted the March people as those who got the confirmation of documents received by Sheffield in that month.

So far I have

March 2: Smelton
March 3: marenleigh
March 6: elliemaemc
March 9: Jessmh
March 31: jningc

I have that Smelton, elliemaemc and Jessmh have all received their visas, and marenleigh and jningc have not.

Have I missed anyone in March by any chance?

I have a Snowshoe Siamese at home and she is so mouthy.  She's also rather obese and lazy as all get-out.  She spends her entire day lording it over the lesser beings in her dominion from atop the cat tree.  Other hobbies include eating from everyone else's bowls and chewing on human hands.  Boy do I miss that cat...

I have a blue point Siamese.  It's like he missed cat training.  He can't walk across ANYTHING without falling off (even as a kitten).  He is only talkative if we can't see him.  Otherwise he looks at you and moves his mouth as a meow but no sound comes out.  But close to bedroom door and he's in the hall, and his protests are real!  He also spends all night getting his cat toys and dropping them on my while I sleep, covering me in gifts.  He's 16.5 years old now and the love of my life (no offence taken by my husband or kids  :P).

This is just adorable!  ;D

Mine will occasionally bring me a toy mouse but only if they want me to throw it for them!  :D

Very important to establish the pecking order!  ;)

I'm glad to have found my way to the correct thread ! Playing catch up here.
Here is the history...All documents received on March 30, Nonpriority application (totally regretting it now) that is very straightforward. Solicitor filed everything.  Currently at day 48 (accounting for bank holidays). Need to travel in 2 weeks! I'm realizing this is cutting it very close. A couple questions...
is there anyone out there that applied non priority in mid to late March?
What is the deal about home office taking on more countries to process? When did that happen? I know there is a lot of speculation about it backing applications up but is there data showing this yet?

Plan to contact solicitor first thing tomorrow to see what our options are.

Appreciate your thoughts and prayers !

I don't know if we can edit the list, but I know that at least one user (AmericanMom) has decided to try to upgrade retroactively. I'm not sure if it's gone through, but it may affect her processing time.

I would very much discourage anyone from attempting to upgrade retroactively.  American mom's hasn't been acknowledged.  And Hawk's while acknowledged, appears to have not actually been treated as priority.  The website very clearly says you cannot upgrade after submission, so I would NOT recommend anyone risk so much money.

Yup, chiming in to confirm they will NOT tell me if I've been upgraded and I don't think they're going to. I'm at 19 Business Days though so...I'll officially lose all hope and craw under a rock when I hit 30. Do not upgrade retroactively. Let me be the cautionary tale.

Non-Priority May - FLR(M) (applying from within the UK)

Application sent: 20th May
Signed for: 22nd May
Payment taken: 23rd May
Returned Sponsor's visa in mail: 26th May
Biometrics Letter came: 8th June
Biometrics completed: 11th June

If the Biometric Letter is accurate (8 week time frame) should have a decision by 18thish of July. My application is pretty straightforward and I have no children on my application so I'm feeling confident.

I'm not sure I understand why some peoples timelines are so long? Is it because they are applying for the Spousal Visa for the first time and those go to Sheffield? My FLR(M) app went to Durham.

Good luck to everyone!

Mods, can I suggest that we split this discussion into two separate threads?

Spousal visas and FLR(M) visas are two different applications, processed in different cities/offices, with very different processing times. For example, spousal visas can be processed as priority or non-priority, while FLR(M) applications are processed as either in-person or by post... which means there's no such thing as a priority or a non-priority FLR(M) application.

It's getting confusing having the out-of-country application times mixed in with in-country application times.

In the past few years, we have had the following 2 topics for these visas:

- one for all the settlement visa applications made outside the UK, regardless of priority or the month of application
- one for all the FLR(M) applications made inside the UK

Or we could have the following topics, maybe:
- priority settlement applications (all months)
- non-priority settlement applications (all months)
- FLR(M) applications (all months)

At the moment we have about 5 different threads covering all the outstanding applications, and it's hard to keep track of them... which also means we end up repeating ourselves in each thread when people have questions about their application or processing times

It's interesting though, because in spite of that, you seem calmer. I don't know how you are actually feeling but it's as if you have relaxed a little bit now you know you have done everything you can?  :)

Hey

I applied on March 31, only a day behind you and I'm still waiting. I'm hoping it will come very soon, either this week or next. And I also bought my flight ticket, which is 2 weeks later, so cutting very close too.
Btw I noticed I gave the wrong information on the spreadsheet. Mine should be 3/31, instead of 3/29!
