So... 2 emails were received this morning. One requesting the payment of the NHS surcharge for my son, which we have now paid.

The other is a generic email referencing the October 31 email, and basically appears to state that our application will miss that deadline.

I'm opting to remain positive in hopes that the requested fee is a sign that our applications are being worked on and also that there will be a desired outcome.

Sounds like the processing of the application isn't far off. So i guess it looks like positive news.

That's great news! They wouldn't request the payment if they were going to refuse the visa. Hopefully you'll get the decision email soon.  :)
