Lol!  You are like my cat lady sister!

Anyone who has an undying passion for felines is my friend <3

I'm gunna miss them when I go so I may be overcompensating a bit, but my neighbour across the street has a cat that I bought a small present for cause I missed their birthday. So I'm dropping that off as soon as I get back.

I raised them from the day they were born, a good bit larger than the usual kitty......and so very incredible. Sorely missed, and irreplaceable.

Oh my goodness, I can't imagine actually raising a kitten from the day its born.

I adopted mine from a feral cat rescue (cause our fairgrounds have loads of feral cats) as kittens. Luna was about 8 weeks old, and Percy (the part Siamese) was about 5 months.

Even then, Luna was so tiny!

And I feel jealous of actually knowing the breeds for my cats. I've only ever adopted whatever cat was available, and I could convince my parents to get.

Rick, my other love is an Abyssinian.  :)

Here she is enjoying the sun last week (indoor kitties but they join me in the garden on sunny days).

Oh wow, you're so lucky. Mine are indoor too but I couldn't trust them not to bolt if I let them out. Well the two youngsters anyway. The older girl would run the other way I think.  ;D

When we were at the adoption event that led to us bringing home the older of the ones that we have now,  there was a pair of gorgeous blue Abyssinian kittens that I really wanted to take home but husband overruled me because he thought they'd be too much for the elderly cat we wanted company for. He was right, of course, but I would have loved to have them. :)

My dad and I used to go to a cat show every year and we LOVED the abbys.  They were always alert and feisty.  So I got one when I moved out.  I swear she didn't sleep for the first 10 years of her life!  Now she's great at sleeping.   ;)  They are very good in the garden.  They just sunbathe and follow the humans around.  Copper will also be 16 next month.  She still looks and acts like a kitten though!

She ADORES my husband.  I'll load a photo of one of the many ways the sleep at night.  My BIL thinks they have an inappropriate relationship.   ;D

No. Technically, they're both mine and my mom's cats since I signed the adoption papers for Percy, but I feel like it would be super cruel to rehome one without the other after they've been together so long. And I know that my mom will take care of them cause she picked Percy out. I just paid for him when her back was turned cause she kept waffling back and forth about adopting him.  ;)

Ultimately, my husband and I are going to get our own cats when our living situation allows it.

And your Abyssinian is so cute!

I love how this post turned into a cat post. I had two cats, a tab and a half Siamese, half neighbors unknown cat breed -my kitten was black, with the personally of her lilac point mom. The tab I got as a kitten and had for nearly 6 years, the black Siamese kitten I had for only 7 months, but she was my favorite just because she'd come in my room and cuddle with me and my older cat between my son and I, whenever I was upset, she'd randomly come running in the room to jump on my lap and cuddle. She was definitely my emotional support animal. Unfortunately both cats were rehomed when I went to visit my husband. Not a day goes by that I don't miss them.
