I'd agree with both of the posters above -- our application (submitted in December) took almost the full 12 weeks to be approved.

Just try not to think about it until you get the decision made email -- then you can go into panic mode!

Thanks all for the insight!  I have just resigned to the fact that it will take the full 60- as hard as that is!  I guess I was holding out hope for an earlier decision when UKVI told me on the phone that I had been in the 'pending decision' pile since March 19th.  I'm not sure that even matters the more posts I read!

The pending decision pile is where everyone's application is.   :)

UPDATE - Non priority replies so far 2018
3 months +/- 2 weeks, which is same as last year after they added new countries to Sheffield office. 50-70 BD is about right, don't expect it sooner for non-priority.

Yes hopefully we both get decisions soon with things over in priority picking up. I will be relocating to the South coast/Southampton area. Where will you be moving to?

I will be up in the North East, in Durham.  You and I actually have the exact same Biometrics date so it will be indeed interesting!  Best of luck- I really hope you are better at the waiting game than I am! ::)  I have already broken down and called UKVI.   :-[

:\\\'( Let me wipe the tears off my face first...ok, I see everyone here is in the same boat. Here's my timeline:

Type of Application:  Settlement Spouse Visa (non priority)
Country applying from:  Germany (US Citizen)
Nationality:  US Citizen; husband is UK Citizen
Online application:  31 Jan-2018
Biometrics:  07-Feb-2018
Package sent:  07-Feb-2018
Package arrived:  08-Feb-2018
UKVI receipt of application received: 08-Feb-2018
Decision made email:
Passport return:

I just did a business day calculation and it's been 43 business days. My husband is in the UK already, we already moved our household and I'm staying with family. I'm supposed to get my papers back by courier but I've moved now and we all know that there's no contacting anyone who knows anything or anything. I am so very lucky that I can stay with family. I'm so frustrated I'll end up cleaning the house from top to bottom.

Hang in there!  I am in the exact same boat.  All my possessions are already there as are my dogs and my husband.  I'm living in an AirBnB since I've sold my house which I guess will make the move that much easier once the visa arrives.  You are getting close though...closer than me.  The waiting is excruciating!  I fully understand.  Good Luck- I'm rooting for you...

It's so nice to meet you guys. I really had no idea where to turn. I told my husband I'm surely the only one in this situation and he told me he found some forums. Then I found you guys! I'm moving to the south coast too and I forbade him to send me any pictures of the sea until I get my decision!

Hi everyone,

I wonder if anyone knows if the processing time will be any different if children our involved. I’m American and my husband is British. We have a baby who is British and is with me stuck in the US waiting my Visa decision. My husband is in England and really missing out on the development of our daughter. I just can’t believe it’s going to take this long. The Home Office gave us a quick response when we applied to get married so I was hoping this would be a as efficient. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. If I at least had my passport we could reunite our little family in Europe. 😫
1st App Mailed: 03/14/18 STANDARD
Decision Made: 07/02/18(70 WD)

Good luck! I'm in a similar situation. Husband is in the UK, our twin daughters are here with me in the US even though they are British citizens. Really hoping to reunite our family soon.
