Looks like the priority board is having a mini flurry so hopefully we'll see something similar in the non priority..even with the bank holiday Monday!

Today is BD 60 and I got an automated not straightforward message. But there's no request for information or anything:

"Thank you for your visa/entry clearance application which has been received and is under consideration.  We aim to process non settlement applications within 15 working days and settlement applications within 60 working days (unless you have opted for a Priority Visa service).

We are unable to resolve your application within these customer service targets, as the processing of your application has not been straightforward. Please be assured that we will continue to progress your application to enable a decision to be made as soon as possible.

Please do not attend the application centre until you have been contacted by the VAC.

Kind regards
Croydon DMC"

I am so sorry Laura. The worse part is there is no action (to my knowledge), that you can take to speed this up. Perhaps this acknowledgement will mean they will get busy on your application. Once again, I am sorry. Hugs.

Laura. Do you think your application is slower because you are an American applying from Germany?  I have no idea if that matters but perhaps because it’s not the normal route, it is throwing the norms off a bit?

Yes, I'm wondering the same thing too. I have unlimited residency here becasue I've lived here for close to 30 years. And we've both been married before (all the paperwork is included) so I bet they are having fun with that.

Hugs for you too!

Sometimes we see the decision email a couple of days behind the not straightforward one. Nine times out of ten, it doesn't actually mean that they think your application is not straight forward.
Try not to let it worry you.

Could be that combo or perhaps they’re just dragging their feet. Sure it’s to be that!  Hang in there, it’s soon to come I’m sure!

As you say, it's automated and was sent by the SYSTEM as it's been 60 days.  As Larabee said, it doesn't mean you will be waiting much longer.  Fingers crossed.

Not to be the bearer of bad news, but we had an American applicant from Germany last year and their application took FOREVER to process and he had paid priority.  It wasn't good....  but he got his visa in the end.

Of course.  It's just that doesn't really do anything anymore.  It used to help... not so much anymore I'm afraid.

Yes, my husband has written once, about two weeks ago. He called and wanted to go in today, but there was a vote yesterday and there was no one in the office.
