this will be my first time applying. I have a old DUI case from 2009 will that make it not worth it to apply priority? or more so bc will still push us up? I have a daughter and hate the thought of being away from my husband longer than a month. Let me know what you all think.

Yeah, that's old.  Your case will take a little longer due to the previous case but priority will still have your application opened about three months earlier.  I'd do priority if you can swing it.

Yes, let's hope they all come back on Tuesday from their sunny bank holiday, full of energy and effervescence! Congratulations to everyone who had good news, too! I had to move out of my apartment on March 17th. I am lucky to have my wonderful brother who has had to put up with little sister's mood swings for the last seven weeks.  :o

Bah! Didn't know it was a bank holiday! Got Christmas morning anticipation hoping for some magic to appear in my inbox T.T Oh well, get to have it all over again tomorrow!

Really wish I could know when my passport will be back because I'm antsy to book flights before prices go up further! Found a flight for hubby, dogs in cabin, and me that would total $730 one way ... but nervous to book even mid-June ... others' timelines help!! But also a wee bit worried now seeing that others seem to have sent more supplemental docs like photos together o_o

Currently it’s right at 60 business days for non-priority, but that will start to stretch as the summer rush begins.  Do NOT book flights until you have your visa in your hands, checked for errors.  Not to mention knowing your travel window.   ;D

Tell you sent a photo of the two of you together!  Only one is needed.   :)

...dogs in cabin,...

Just checking that you know that dogs cannot fly in cabin directly in to the UK?

I don't think I sent a photo of us together ... don't remember seeing it was required! 0_0

Okay ... I will refrain at your advice! Thanks  :)

Yes, they need to know that you've met in person.  Last year, they refused a couple that had been married 30 years because they didn't send a photo.   ::)

Look at "Information about your sponsor in the UK" in the link above.

But don't panic.  UKVI is really inconsistent.  If your application is air tight and a photo is the only thing missing, they may simply request one, or accept the application without it.  DO NOT PANIC.

Good morning,

Just had a qs on why the timeline would stretch with summer applications? Surely applications now being made would have little to no affect since they are being made after ours? I understand priority might but , as many of us are reaching our 60days, even their 30 day timeline would not jump ahead of us correct?
Just wanted to clarify! 😆

Everything depends on the backlog building up now.  About 70% of applications from the USA are priority.  So those applications will keep being processed ahead of non-priority applications.  Each summer, we see non-priority stretch to 4-6 months.  All depends on how many priority applications pour in, pushing non-priority further back.

It sucks.  But UKVI cares more about money than people.

In the autumn, when those stuck in the summer backlog, start to have their applications processed, they will crank through EVERYONE in a matter of a couple of weeks.  But during end of June/July/August, non-priority will be near stagnant.  Happens every year.

Those of you already in the queue, should be okay with your timelines.  All depends on when we start to see the slow for summer.  Any applications being submitted from May onwards, will likely not see a decision until September/October/November.

Anyone else feel like today is a fake Monday? All the annoyance of a workday for me in the US but no further business days added to my counter!

Hopefully the ECOs will be well-rested from the weekend and ready to get to work this week :)

You've got to be getting close!  Hopefully we all see some positive movement this week!  Many of us are in that 45-60 range so something has to give!   Good luck to all.   [smiley=clover2.gif] [smiley=clover2.gif]

OK, I just got an email from DHL that a package from Croydon UK Visas is being delivered to me here in Germany tomorrow. I haven't had any other information and on my TLS visa application tracking page, it still says no decision has been made. Now I'm sick. I hope they aren't just sending everything back without a decision?
