His passport is good but he's been in Germany for the last 10 years. I'm out now and I'll post the refusal when I get home.

So sorry about your rejection. It seems they do lots of money making incorrect decisions lately... unfortunately the quickest way to come to the UK is to reapply

I've decided to go get professional help. I don't want to do this myself. I've contacted Medivisas. Thanks so much for all the info and the tips. You guys are wonderful

I completely understand how you must feel but why don't you just run it by us anyway? Unless you have complicated circumstances which we don't know about, it really is as easy as correcting what they didn't like about the first attempt and then reapplying. You almost can't go wrong!

That's great news. You and I have about the same timeline to hear something soon because I'm freaking out. My submission date was Feb 13th. Bio:19th. docs in shfd 22 and email 26th

My thoughts have been going crazy over the prospect of being rejected!  I'm assuming that's somewhat normal although I think I tend to run on the slightly paranoid side typically. 

We have roughly the same dates too! Fingers crossed we both hear soon

@kerinay I thought you would certainly hear before me.  I hope that's not a bad sign for me, not you!  Maybe tomorrow will bring some good news.  You have to be getting close.

This wait is so terrifying. I’m completely resigned to being denied now. We didn’t send any photos because on the gov website it says it’s not typically necessary. Ugh! When denied do you think it’s worth it to apply for a visitor visa so my husband can see his 5 month old for longer than 3 days or should we just skip it and meet in Spain? I can handle the separation, it’s missing out on our baby that’s agonizing. I’m so angry at the HO for everyone that gets denied for following their instructions!!! Thank god you all are here to help. Needed to vent. I’m losing my mind as a single mother. Respect to all the single moms. This is rough!

You know... It's a long shot but why don't you try forwarding some photos to Sheffield?
They say that you are not supposed to be able to add to the application after it's submitted but it can't hurt to try. And there is always a chance, albeit tiny, that they might put them together with your application.

Even with a solicitor,  you will be doing most of the work anyway. You will still have to collect all the documentation and evidence required.

That’s a really good idea. I have an email thread going with the outfit you’re supposed to contact for questions. Do you think I should send the photos electronically that way or print 2 (one of our wedding, one somewhere else) and mail them to Sheffield as corresponding documents? The thought of us being away from my husband for the reapply process is horrific. I’m not sure how we will cope but that’s life.
