I'm steadfastly not checking that application status checker thing. If it said 'decision made' but no email, I would be devastated. All new nerves. Cause I'd rather be in ignorance until that decision email.

Other news, my hubby got his birthday present today. I had to mail it from the USA, and let you tell you guys it was an extortionate shipping price and got held up in customs for being suspicious (I got a call about it from the shipper). It was a t-shirt, two small Lego puzzles, and a pair of socks...

Hold strong!!!  We are still getting "it will be sent to you as soon as possible" (14 days later) it just breaks your heart.

Isn't it funny how certain things trigger questioning.  I don't even try to have tea sent over anymore...  fiancé and I joke that it never gets to me...  Inspected and confiscated...  sure lol!  Enjoy that tea with your biscuits customs agents!

I can't even imagine for you.

Yes, those Bulbasaur socks, Halo tiny puzzles, and Harley Quinn shirt are really tempting. Nerd.  [smiley=smart.gif] Lol

Rick, were you able to find and pics of your ocelot cats?

I'm so sad, it seems that in the big move my pictures were left behind somehow. No possible way to get them....I checked everywhere....nothing. :(

It's so expensive to send packages!  And the import fees can be brutal.  My mom sent me a package last month containing a sweatshirt and t-shirt that my sister "accidentally" took back to the US with her along with some crazy socks.  Because she declared that the goods were worth over £39, I had to pay £18 customs charges on the package.  :/

My dad sent a Northface jacket for my hubby's Christmas present (which I wish he hadn't cause it's totally god awful ugly but bless). The customs was £80 on the jacket.

Now, I've shown him and my mom how to use Amazon UK to ship to our flat XD no import fees.

Oh no, how sad! I really hope that they're tucked away there somewhere and you've just not come across them yet.

Question... I saw on website that Sheffield has office hours on Saturday. Does that mean I should be counting Saturday as a business day? I've only been counting M-F.

No, business days are counted as M-F only.

From the UKVI website:

Customers applying for settlement from outside the UK.

95% of settlement applications within 12 weeks of the application date and 100% within 24 weeks of the application date (where 1 week is 5 working days)
