But yes, people who applied non-priority in April/May/June will likely take 5 to 6 months to hear back. It's horrible but nothing you can do. The process sucks.
For the people who missed their weddings last year, everything worked out for everyone. If the worst was to happen and you were not in the UK on the date, people will still have a nice trip and holiday. Not what people expect, but sadly government bureaucracy DOES screw things up some times. This isn't going to happen to you though, you applied with plenty of notice.
